Help me understand "legal’" and Universal thinking?

Written on November 11, 2009 – 4:09 am | by Drug Abuse Help

I have read and watched THE SECRET
and am Nubria/Lightworker member.
Over 7 months now
I have lived Positive, filled with Gratitude
and have believed that
I am a child of the Universe
I meditate and do ceremonies,
I say positive mantra’s
and have Thanked the Universe/God/Goddess for all it/they have provided me.
For the last 2 weeks my life has fallen apart
and
I was told by my children’s law guardian that my 4 small children
(11,9,6 and 3 yrs old)
will remain with their alcoholic, drug abusing/dealing father
because he
can provide better for them then I can.
I work 40 hours a week and would need child care and a larger place
BUT he deals and uses drugs
What is going on????????
Why would the Universal Powers want my children to be with this man
and bless him with abundance??
HELP!!!What is going on???
What do I do now!!????!!
I know wording is important
so how should I word a request like this to God/Goddess/The Universe?
Your help in this is greatly appreciated.

Is it right to pass laws to protect people from themselves?

Written on November 11, 2009 – 4:09 am | by Drug Abuse Help

For example, should coffee be required to be labeled "may be hot?" Should small quantities of legal drugs (except antibiotics) be available without prescription for personal use? After all if a person abuses them, it only hurts themselves? Should adults be required to wear bike helmets and seat belts? These are just examples but I mean in general, are we that dumb and/or naive as a society that we need the government to protect us from ourselves?

Legal strategy for birth family interference of our adopted son?

Written on November 11, 2009 – 4:09 am | by Drug Abuse Help

Our 4 year old son is adopted (closed adoption). He has been with us since he was 5 months old. Birth mother lost custody of him due to drug abuse/illegal activity. Birth grandmother was given an opportunity to gain custody of him but said she didn’t want him (had 2-1/2 years to change her mind…this was a very slow process). The birth family knows us due to our presence at the court proceedings & worried b/c our son is black and we are white (but not enought to work case plan.)

Birth grandmother has left voice mails several times (we’re listed in the book) and we haven’t responded due to the inappropriateness of the calls (slurring her words in a few and other times talked about how she wants to bond with her "grandson") Recently, she CAME TO OUR DOOR and rang the doorbell and ran and there was a bag of cards/presents from her family members for my son. (we are donating to child charity) We are somewhat alarmed. We have thought of moving and/or restraining order.Thoughts???
The adoption is final. Our state provides a new birth certificate with his new name and us listed as his parents. There is no worry and no chance of him going back.

We are very culturally aware and culturally active (and not just his culture but all cultures). We have made sure he sees his race in our lives as much as possible. We have him going to a very integrated school and live in an integrated neighborhood. Him feeling comfortable in his own skin is one of our primary concerns with his upbringing.

We have saved all pictures and cards. This is all part of his life and when he is grown, I want him to have the option to have it. They are part of his history. But he is only four and, as his mommy, I only want to protect him.

Not incidentally, they did not want him when he had a heart condition and pulmonary problems and developmental delays. I do wish they would allow us to live our lives in peace.

legal help please not sure what to do about sexual abuse in a daycare?

Written on November 10, 2009 – 5:47 am | by Drug Abuse Help

I work at a daycare and I reported this other co-worker for sexual abuse. She lifted up her shirt and asked this 1 1/2 year old to suck on her boobs. She did not get fired only thing is that its in her documents. Which I think was not enough. Well today I got fired because this lady got some of the teachers against me and told the owners that I had drugs (marijuana) in my purse. Which is not true I have to admit that I do smoke on my own time once in awhile but never brought it to the school or anywhere for that matter. They said they had two people who seen it in my purse and others who heard about it. I told them that I was going to tell the parents of the little boy who was sexually abused because the daycare never told the parents or any law enforcement. They said that they were going to turn me in because they have two people who said they seen the drugs. I want law enforcement to get involved but I dont want to get in trouble for this. What should I do should I leave it alone?
Also the lady that I reported is a meth addict and the owners know of this because the other witness who seen her lift up her shirt was asked by one of the owners if she was high on meth when she was asking the boy to suck on her boobs? I just don’t know if I should tell law enforcement about this or just leave it alone. Those little babies I feel so bad for them. She was in the two year old room and when one would cry she would let the other children jump and hit the crying child. I have complained about her many of times but she seems to get away with it. The owners say that she is there project. Any answers would surely help me….
I not sure if they can prove the drugs thing in my purse because I don’t think they have proof. Only what others have said they seen. But the state is in Montana.

Question: How Legal is it for a person whose parental rights have been dissolved to continue to harrass.???

Written on November 10, 2009 – 5:47 am | by Drug Abuse Help

The question may seem trival at first glance….however, allow me to give background info. I had 2children young. My oldest and I; were both left with the emotional scars of serious psychological, physical, and emotional abuse. He had numerous problems with drugs which also goes hand and hand with the law. We later divorced; he has never paid child support or sent cards @ birthdays or Christmas!Last time he saw them was over 8 y. ago.I have remarried, happily for 6 years for 5 of those my husband adopted my children and has treated them as his OWN!!! My ex-husband has been in and out of prison for one thing or another. This year he was released. He has since, followed us in public places,…etc. Furthermore, when he had a new child he published MY MINOR children’s names as siblings!! To him this is a game!!! In the mean time My Children can’t sleep…..The oldest has been dx. with P.T.S.D..Seeing him again! What rights do we have? Where does this end??? Should we have to move?

Should pot be legal, or at least decriminalized?

Written on November 10, 2009 – 5:47 am | by Drug Abuse Help

I mean, its a proven fact that alcohol does way less damage then pot ever did. Thousands of people die every year due to overdosing on liquor; however, no body has ever overdosed on pot. For those of you that say smoking pot makes people dumb, I don’t see how it makes you any dumber, then someone that drinks every day. Alcohol can lead to liver and kidney failure, pot doesn’t do any of that. I knew people that threw their entire life away because they were alcoholics, yet, I don’t know anyone that threw their life away from smoking pot. I’m not saying that you should smoke pot every day, but smoking 2-3 times a month like I do for the last 4 years, is not nearly as bad as drinking every single day, and of course you should never drive while you are high, just in the privacy of your own home. If pot was legal here is what would happen.

1. Free up the prison population, our prisons are at over 200% over populated. These would free up our tax payers money and start concentrating locking up real criminals, like sex offenders that roam the streets free ever day.
2. Most drug dealers would be put out of business and then kids under age would have a harder time getting it because you would need to show your ID, just like when you buy liquor.
3. Pot would never be laced with anything bad because it would be regulated.
4. Pot could be taxed, this would give the economy a giant boost. While some people may choose to grow it, most people like me would buy it.
5. Police officers would be able to concentrate on the real criminals, not getting a phone call just because someone smells pot.

Pot smokers like anybody else pay their taxes, take care of their children, pay for their children education and send them away to college, and work every day. In most cases unless you are a pot head, you can’t even tell the difference between someone that smokes pot and someone that doesn’t, and yes, their is a difference between a recreational pot smoker, and a pot smoker. A recreational user will smoke pot once in a while, and a pot head will do nothing all day, but just get high. Can pot be abused, absolutely, but like any other drug including legal drugs, moderation is the key. For those of you that say pot is a gateway drug to try harder drugs, this simply was a old myth passed down to scare people away from trying pot. The only reason why people try harder drugs, is because their dealer has other drugs that they can try, but if pot was legal, they wouldn’t have to go to their drug dealer, so they wouldn’t be exposed to harder drugs.
Last but not least, their are legal drugs that are highly addicting and dangerous. Micheal Jackson is the perfect example, he died from all the pain killers he was taking.

Which Presidential Candidate has the best solution to illegal immigration?

Written on November 10, 2009 – 5:47 am | by Drug Abuse Help

The words illegal immigrants define people who are officially in this Country without legitimate authorization and who have crossed over our boundaries of criminology. In the same light undocumented reference is intended to reflect the chaos and confusion associated with such criminology. Thus, the line between legal and illegal is thin and squiggly, and at best any idea of officially incorporating the two circumstances into a roadmap to U.S. citizenship is the equivalent of the Government officially granting a form of amnesty to criminals, which may open a can of worms that could completely infect our current criminal justice system with dire consequences of irreversible imperfection. From that point on how can there ever be a set standard by which to determine any legality, in a situation that began illegally?

Just as legalizing smoking pretty much destroyed America’s health system, legalizing illegal immigrants may overwhelm the already stretched to the limit criminal justice system with civil and felony crimes, motor vehicle offenses and domestic disputes. At the time no one anticipated the extremely adverse effect smoking would have on America’s healthcare over the years. Current statistics show that more than one hundred thousand people die each year from second hand cigarette smoke. And another one hundred thousand suffer from smoking related diseases at a staggering healthcare expense on the economy.

Smokers addicted to nicotine are hardcore liars who will do just about anything to continue their smoking habit; including outright pretending they don’t know that their second hand smoke effects everyone around them from anywhere between fifteen and twenty-five cubic feet of air space. They have no consideration for their own children let alone other people’s children or their supposed loved pets. In essence smokers are worse than illegal drug users. Unlike smokers, at least illegal substance abusers go off into their own little world and pollute themselves. In addition, smoking is the common link to most people going on to illegal drug abuse.

Using smoking as an example in which many people experiment with harsher drugs, it would only be a matter of time before amnesty granted illegal immigrants tire of doing the job Americans supposedly don’t want to do, and begin competing with Americans for higher paying more prestigious jobs. As well, using smoking as a learning experience, it is inevitable that amnesty granted illegal immigrants will have a devastating effect on America’s economy costing far more than their worth when it comes to healthcare, education, social services, pregnancies, housing and unforeseen mishaps.

One unforeseen mishap is that it would only be a matter of time before hardcore criminals behind bars begin using illegal immigrant amnesty laws to challenge the criminal justice system keeping them behind bars. After all, how can the law grant amnesty for whatever reason to people who are not even citizens of this country without granting some sort of amnesty to its own criminals who are behind bars for illegality? In my opinion immigration is not the answer to America’s work force problem. Instead, why not kill two birds with one stone: Alleviate the overcrowding costs of America’s prisons, by developing and supervising sentence reduction and early release work incentive programs for non-violent prisoners in exchange for them doing the jobs Americans supposedly don’t want to do as opposed to amnesty immigration?

Need urgent legal advice about restraining order and harassment?

Written on November 10, 2009 – 5:47 am | by Drug Abuse Help

I had an ex who was stalking me. His ex (now current) has harassed me verbally, online with libel, slander, and even contacted my kids. I got a temporary restraining order. I didn’t have my evidence with me because the clerk said they accepted faxes then the judge didn’t. They lied under oath and said I’d done to them everything they’d actually done to me. Because of their outrageous lies. They received the restraining order.
10 days later, we went to court for small claims because he’d hit my car twice (domestic violence). We settled and that day he claimed he’d filled the form to drop the restraining order so we could "be friends." Long story short, he kept contacting me and so did she and I was stupid enough to respond. Now I just found out the restraining order wasn’t actually dropped. She’d sent me long horrible texts just to get me to respond. All I said was stop harassing me but she still got a response. Now I find out tonight she filed a police report because of it. In essence, he still wants to be together and this makes her even more angry and vindictive. I broke up with him last year and I never looked back. Now this legal drama. One last thing, they or she got a duplicate atm card last march then right after the legal stuff in may, she or they tried to get out $1k at an atm. Now that’s being investigated as they had my social and pin number etc to be able to get a duplicate card and monitor it til after a year later to try to steal the money.
1 final thing, he has a history of domestic violence and drug abuse though now he’s supposedly clean. Also, she has been arrested for drug dealing and prostitution. She was a stripper in vegas but now she’s a stripper in whittier.
Please help asap. Thank you.
