Ever went off to College to develop a substance abuse problem?

Has anyone out there ever gone off to college, the first time away from home, started partying and soon thereafter found you were addicted to alcohol/drugs? I am writing a research paper on this and need some quotes from people who have been down that route. What were your reasons for starting? Feel free to ad in anything else! Thanks guys!
