Question on antidepressants.?

I have a problem with anxiety. Awhile back, the doctors gave me Ativan, which worked great. I took them as needed and did not abuse them. Then, they said this drug was addictive and were going to put me on antidepressants, most of which have major league side affects.
So, I have taken Prozac, Celsta and nortriptoline none of which worked, made me sick at my stomach, very tired and quite frankly, I simply could not think as I was in a fog.
I told my doctor, just go back to the ativan, as it works and I am responsible. BUT NO…..Lets take meds that dont work that are definately more harmful for your body but OMG….THEY ARE NOT ADDICTING…..(being sarcastic)
Now they want to try me on Zoloft. Here we go again. Maybe if I was Michael Jackson or someone else rich and famous I would get the meds that truly work. But that’ll never happen, so lets play prescription drug roulette!
Why are doctors this way? What does anyone know about Zoloft?
