My friend wants my prescription drugs?

My friend "Steven" asked me tonight if I had any left over pain killers from when I had surgery to remove tumors last year. I like this guy a lot and I trust him a lot but I also know that he abuses drugs, drinks a lot, smokes and has a lot of issues. I know he won’t hurt me if I don’t give them to him. I don’t know what to do because he is one one my best friends and he is an amazing guy. What do you think I should do?
We are seniors in high school.
