Can I Be FORCED To Treatment? (ASAP plz!)?

im going to treatment but its not court ordered, my mothers forcing me to go for 90 days rehab, 90 days halfway house….not cool….please help me, many thanks to anyone who answers….oh and btw im sposed to leade by 7am today, yes today, and check in at 9am sooo 5 hours….its for alcohol and drug abuse….weed everyday, drinking once a week….plz tell me i do not have a drinking problem, weed, its just a habit…

    Has your mother done her research. That is not a solution…believe me I know. My father sent me to a rehab facility, and things got worse. Not to scare you or anything but tell your mother, unless shes been in that place, and if she really cares about you, she needs to realize it could get worse. My sister went to a half way house…kinda like jail. (The place I went to was worse than Jail). I know multiple people who all say the same thing, their experience has been, it made things worse. You may get lucky, but I would never send someone there if they were under 18…different rules. Like I said if she really cares…research. She could have a counseler come to your house, and test you. I left rehab with a whole new mental, and physical state.Not good, I had to be pulled out of school for it. I just got the help I needed, that was 6 years ago. My now psychologist is pissed about it, and my dad suffers extreme depression b/c he feels like it’s his fault b/c he just sent me away. Have her read my post if that would help at all. There are other options, they can keep stuff hidden at places like that, now i dunno about every single place, but thats an extreme risk unless she knows someone who has been there. There is tons of research that should be done…does she know that they have full rights over you? Does she understand what that could mean? They lied to us and we are still thinking about taking them to court. REALLY I FEEL SO BAD…I’m not trying to scare you. Maybe, is there somebody who got lucky on here? Dude I can send you stuff for her if she wants to look at it…what’s the name of the place? ARE you under 18???There’s a big difference…in the places I heard of, and where I was at…if your over 18 alright you may get help, but…maaaaaaaaan. I’ll tell you what I did thank my father, but only b/c he thought he had destroyed my life. I felt bad for him. It helped a little, but he didn’t have depression before that. My sister went for drugs, she got worse. I went for a disorder, I metally and physically spent years recovering. I have multiple friends that I met in there, nobody ever gets better unless they are willing. Drinking and Weed, don’t most people try that for a minute. Sorry I’m spazzing, just a bad experience.

    If you’re under 18, you can be forced. Sounds like you have a problem.

    of course you can be forced, if your are under 18 (or even older, in some cases). One day you are going to thank your mother for doing it.

    You can if your under age. But if your over 18 sometimes It would depend on how bad it is.
