Children’s prescriptions.?

I know a young lady who was a very good mother, everyone loved her child and he got along with everyone else. Most everyone that is.

Well, this mother happened to give him another child’s prescription to help him sleep.
Just a small piece of the tablet, she wasn’t sure of the over the counter medicines that were for more then just sleepless nights.

She knew about this medication, she had seen it used for the other children.

But now her so called friend got wind of this from her ex which happened to be her (past friend) boyfriends best friend. Sorry if this is confusing.

Regardless, this mother did nothing wrong, she did not over dose the child, nor was he walking around like a drugged zombie.

Her old friend is just mad at her for very stupid reasons.

She said she saw the child "drugged and high" and that his life was in danger and he needed to be safe away from his mother.

She reported this to the police and CPS in the beginning of February.
She stated this happened in July 2008.

My question is, is she had ’seen’ this in July, and if the childs life was in such risk why did she wait 7 months to report it?

Within 7 months if he were being over dosed he could be brain dead or … dead.

She was a good mother, she would’ve never did anything to harm him.
He was the best thing that happened to her and all she wanted was for him to have a good nights rest and to avoid the domestic abuse in their home (when it was bad or directed to him) until they got their own place which they did in late December.

**********Ok, I’m sorry this is long, I’m not looking to get this mother bashed, I don’t care if you think she’s a bad mother for trying to keep him safe I just want to know what she can do to get her son back.************

She’s doing parenting classes, only required to do one - has done 3.
Therepy (for her son being taken, she hates being with out him)
Psych Eval (which only recomended therepy and parenting classes.)

And to find employment, no one is hiring in her area, and the few that do doesn’t except her bc sometimes she doesn’t have the expierence for their job.

She’s trying SO hard…

She’s learned her lesson, she learned that the day she lost everything………….

Also, her child’s pediatrician is going to every court date with her trying to help her get her son back BECAUSE this is not something unusual for a parent to do.

Any ideas for her to get her son home safe and sound?
