Anyone taking the antidepressant drug Pristiq? Has it worked for you?

I have major depression caused by PTSD from childhood abuse and my Dr. just put me on Pristiq 50mg. daily. I have been on many other antidepressants over the last 15 years. I have had to stop taking them because they did not work, they stopped working after a few years or I gained a lot of weight.
If you have used this medication did you have any side affects? If yes, what were they?

    i have taken Pristiq and it worked quit well for me i didnt notice it at first but after a while i became much happier

    Pristiq is very much like venlafaxine, it is a good antidepressant but it can cause side effects and withdrawal problems.
