Am I abusing drugs that are prescribed to me?

I have extreme panic attacks that mimic heart-attacks. I have been prescribed a pill called alprazolam which is a generic form of xanax. So here’s the deal. These pills get me high; however, they take the panic away. I’ve tried other medications that have enhanced my panic and raised my blood pressure to 190/110 at some points. This seems to be the only thing that works… So, if I enjoy the high, but keep my pills regulated and do not over take, am I abusing them? This is the lowest dose possible by the way… I was hoping the high would go away and I would develope some type of tolerance. What do you guys think?
