What are the effects of music promoting drug/alcohol abuse, sexism, self harm, gang ideology, aggression, etc, on youth?
How do youth get effected by these things?

if they are easily influenced it might lead to aggressive outbursts or hating people. but if they are just listening to it and enjoying the music for what it is: MUSIC, then it’s almost completely harmless. Sometimes songs (such as rap) can influence the person in ideas of hating certain types of people or doing things but its very rare that music is the total cause.

Angry, maybe even violent music, but I listen to it because I like it.
I listened to rock, and heavy music growing up too, but I was a happy, loving person and I still am.
The Self Harm part, can be inspiring. Since..yeah. Some people just do it to be cool, and keep up with trends. Most people do what songs have to say because its ‘cool’ and they think they’ll be cool if they do it.
