I’m very concerned about my brothers drinking/drug use?

I’m using my husbands yahoo account, but anyhow. lately I have become aware of my brothers increasing drug and alcohol use, He is 22 years old and he has always been depressed he whole life. I have no idea why….I mean he’s a good looking guy, and women seem to flock to him. But he has always had a depression problem. He takes Lexapro 20mg everyday which seemed to help at first but then he started abusing Xanax, and drinking heavily. Sometimes mixing the two causing him to blackout. Last night i went to go visit him at our parents house (he lives with mom and dad because he lost his job because of his drinking at work) an he was completely wasted and it was barely 2pm. Our parents love him so much they wont punish him or try and help him, They think its just a "phase" that he will quit soon. But last night i was over an he was drunk and working on his car and he had bruises and cuts all over his chest and arms from I assume falling or injuring himself while intoxicated. He said one cut on his arm that i pointed out was from when he accidently fell down an escalator at the mall. Like i said before, he mixes Xanax (that he is proscribed) with alcohol almost on a regualar basis which causes him to blackout, he swore up and down the other day that it was Tuesday when it was Friday. I really don’t know what to do, I love him so much an hate to see him hurt himself or someone else while driving or overdosing. He is everything to me, he has done everything for me when we were growing up together, an i just want him to be him again. The way he is now, isent him. He’s so sweet and kind and gentle. He’s not a drunk or a drug addict. What can i do?
