How would you differentiate self-destructive and destructive behavior in teens?

Written on October 27, 2009 – 11:01 pm | by Drug Abuse Help

If self-destructiveness revolves around drug & alcohol abuse, what’s generally destructive behavior? In teens.

Thanks in advance. :) What? Were you implying that I want to stop it?
I could care less, and I AM a teen. People never actually learn themselves.

Please rephrase your question if you want clear answers.

I would say simple, general destructive behavior might be, not using prioritizing skills rather than make rash decisions.
Letting the use of reason take a second seat to ones emotions.
Allowing peer pressure to dictate ones final judgment.
I hope this is what you were looking for. The question was a bit blurred to me.

Self destructive is something someone does that harm themselves…drugs, alcohol, cutting, pill popping etc.

Destructive behavior is usually behavior that destroys things outside of themselves- People who get easily angers display destructive behavior when they throw things or punch holes in the wall-

Self -Destructive behavior is usually self-mutilation, alcohol, drugs, etc.
Destructive behavior includes self destructive behaviors as well as physical violence, verbal abuse, vandalism, etc.

    Not alcohol and not pot.
    Every teen experiments with it.
    Thats just how life go’s.
Let em learn by there self.
NOTHING you say or do will stop it.

    vandalism i guess.

    self-destructiveness destroys the self

    and regular destructiveness destroys stuff.
